HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards 2017, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional   The HJ British Hairdressing Awards 2017, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, were held recently in London.   Guests were welcomed to the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, by HJ’s executive director, Jayne Lewis-Orr, who said ““Never has it been more important than now to raise the profile of this incredible profession.”   Cat Deeley hosted the event and the awards longstanding sponsor Schwarzkopf Professional showcased their Ikonic Essential Looks Collection, which was a big hit. Top Stylists in NSW / ACT Announced The L’Oreal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2018 semi-finalists for New South Wales and Canberra have been announced. The finalists go through to the grand finale in February. The competition was fiercely contested with 25 finalists taking part in the L’Oréal Sydney Academy.   So who are the incredibly talented finalists? Top Stylists in Queensland Announced   L’Oreal Professionnel continued its search for the top colourists across Australia. With events already held in Melbourne, South Australia and Western Australia, the L’Oreal Colour Trophy final in Queensland took place recently. All of the semi-finalists took part in a live competition and runway show at Lightspace in Fortitude Valley. As ever, the standards were very high and competition was fierce!   The semi-finalists are as follows:   Wendy Gunn of  Ink For Hair who created a sunset pastel pink bob, Elyse Sprott and Alyse March of Rixon Hair, for a long sleek look imbued with warm copper lights Deeann Watt of Watt Style, for a dark blonde, rosy crop. Top Stylists in Western Australian Announced   L’Oreal Professionnel continued its search for the top colourists across Australia. With events already held in Melbourne and South Australia, the Colour Trophy semi-finals for Western Australia took place recently.   All of the semi-finalists took part in a live competition and runway show. As ever, the standards were very high and competition was fierce!   The semi-finalists are as follows: Imogen Starr from Circles of Subiaco for her light auburn coloured look Nick Mammoliti and Damien Kabay of Hemisphere Hair for their blonde mullet with orange highlights Melissa Gesualdo of Reno’s On St Quentin for a vibrant red look.
